Rumors flooded the Internet Tuesday claiming
Mariah Carey said something foul about fellow singer/actress/perfume-maker
Jennifer Lopez. In the report, originated by MediaTakeOut.com, Carey is said to
be asked by a journalist if she would ever consider performing alongside J.Lo.
Her response was supposedly: "I'd rather be on stage with a pig. A duet with
Jennifer Lopez and me just ain't going to happen." Carey tells People magazine
that the story is "a complete untruth," and that such a remark did not, and
would not, come from her. "This is just some Internet gossip and it's pathetic
that people actually entertain the thought that this could be real," Carey said,
according to People. "This is another sad example of two strong women being pit
against each other."
Vick May Leave
Jail Sooner Than Expected
It seems Michael Vick purposely
fail a drug test and enter the pokey early so he could enter a drug rehab
program and be released early. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick could be
getting out of federal prison much earlier than anticipated after applying for a
prison-monitored drug rehabilitation program and evidently being moved into the
program in Leavenworth, Kan. The program could have Vick out of prison by the
end of this year and perhaps back in the NFL by the 2009 season. A source
confirmed to Nashanita that Vick has applied to the program, which is run only
at the federal facility at Leavenworth. An official with the Federal Bureau of
Prisons said Friday that Vick was being transported to
Leavenworth.
